We are thrilled to be attending a show by a company that works so hard to provide a platform for national and international designers. Founded by Deborah St. Louis, the Fashions Finest showcases during London Fashion Week was launched in 2010 following on from the set-up of the Fashions Finest magazine in 2009.
Since its inception, Fashions Finest has been promoting the diverse spectrum of the national and international fashion industry with primary focus on British designers. Fashions Finest provides a platform and supports designers that are self-taught as well as those beginning at the college level through to established designers.
CEO Deborah St Louis says: "We are excited to be working with the Prince's Trust. Working with and providing young people with opportunities has always been a personal passion of mine that has always run a thread in Fashion Finest as a whole. The collaboration with the Prince's Trust is an ideal symbiotic relationship for us."
The Prince's Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom founded in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales, and Frederick John Pervin to help young people aged 13 to 30 get into jobs, education, and training. They run a range of training programmes, provide mentoring support and offer financial grants to build the confidence and motivation of disadvantaged young people. Each year they work with about 60,000 young people, with around 80% moving on to employment, education, training or volunteering.
It is one of the most successful funding organisations in the UK and the UK's leading youth charity. It has helped over 825,000 young people turn their lives around, created 125,000 entrepreneurs and given business support to 395,000 people in the UK. From 2006 to 2016, its work for the youth has been worth an estimated £1.4 billion.
We will be featuring some interviews with some amazing designers on the blog, with some even featuring their designs on the catwalk. In its seventh year, Fashions Finest features an array of catwalk shows, pop up and exhibition space featuring a careful curation of over 30 British and international designers.
Fashions Finest launches its collaboration with the Prince's Trust for its SS18 season, taking place from the 16th of September - the 17th of September 2017 during London Fashion Week at The Grand Connaught Rooms, 61-65 Great Queen Street, Holborn, London.
