Search for Facebook killer is now national

The search for Facebook killer Steve Stephens is now "a national search," says Cleveland Police Chief. Steve Stephens, 37, filmed himself murdering Robert Godwin, 74 and posted it on social media on Easter Sunday.

An aggravated murder warrant was issued for his arrest late Sunday night and states that residents in Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana and Michigan as well as Ohio should be on high alert. The horrifying video, which we urge our readers not to spread or even watch, shows him driving up to an elderly man, getting out of his car, and opening fire.

He is 6ft and is said to weight 240lbs. He is bald with a full beard. He is wearing a dark blue and grey or black striped polo shirt. He is driving around in a White Ford Fusion and is armed and dangerous.

It is understood when officer tracked Stephens' phone, it indicated he had crossed state lines as the signal was picked up in Erie, Pennsylvania. Police chief Calvin Williams told gathered press this morning to say that detectives had made contact with the killer early in their investigation via cellphone, but they failed to convince him to turn himself in.
