NYX Wanderlust Advent Calendar Review
Advent calendars are something I’ve enjoyed since I was little, so imagine how excited I was to get a makeup advent calendar for Christmas and I didn’t have to wait 24 days to open it. The NYX Wanderlust Advent Calendar is limited edition and includes 12 new eyeshadows and 12 soft matte lip creams:
NYX is one of my favourite makeup brands and I’ve always loved their soft matte lip creams and now I have 12 more! The 12 mini soft matte lip creams and eye shadows are named after different cities around the world, the shades included are:
My favourites have to be Cannes, Stockholm, Rome and Copenhagen, I’ve wanted Copenhagen for ages but it’s always sold out everywhere and when I do manage to find it online, it’s someone selling it for a ridiculous price. Stockholm, Cannes and Rome are perfect nude shades, especially Rome, I already know I'm going to be wearing that all the time. I’m not really a fan of Addis Ababa, Milan or Seoul as they’re not colours I would usually wear but as always the formula of the lipsticks is amazing, they feel moussy but dry matte and they're comfortable. The dark colours, Copenhagen and Transylvania are a bit streaky, especially Transylvania but they are perfect with a good lip liner and 2 applications.
I was really excited about the eyeshadows as I haven't bought any in a while but some of them really let me down as they ended up feeling really chalky and they weren't that pigmented, especially Copenhagen and Seoul, I had to swatch them about 3 times before they would show up on my arm. Monte Carlo, Milan and Stockholm are my absolute favourites, I was really impressed with how smooth and pigmented Monte Carlo was because usually dark glittery shades are difficult to use and Rome is the perfect deep burgundy shade.

I was so impressed with this calendar as I was happy with almost everything and can see myself using the shadows and lipsticks almost everyday! The calendar is still available to buy here at Boots for £60!
