Big Easy is an American themed restaurant ‘inspired by the 19th century crab shacks & Bar.B.Q of the American Gulf Coast’. We finally all met up (after really underestimating how hard it would be to find evenings where we would all be free after university), and went out for a meal at the restaurant’s Covent Garden location.
The vibe of the restaurant was very loud but chill at the same time, the hostess who helped us to the table was so friendly and seemed genuinely interested in how we were doing. I was so excited to be eating here because they served lobster and I’ve been wanting to taste it for the longest time but I’m always too scared to try new food at restaurants for fear of wasting money. However one of my New Year’s resolutions was to try a new food at least once a month so I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which came with fries, a salad and a slushy cocktail!

We didn't have to wait too long for our food at all, I was so happy (but not too surprised because of the price) by the portions, I couldn’t even finish the Mac and Cheese. The Strawberry Daiquiri slushy I got really surprised me, I thought it was going to be really sweet but it was so strong, I couldn’t taste any strawberry in it at all, I might as well have been drinking rum dyed red! I did love the lobster though, it didn’t taste how I thought it would, if someone had given me a blindfold and told me I was eating shrimp, I probably would have believed them.
There isn’t really anything too negative I can say about Big Easy, the only things that were a bit annoying was that we were seated underneath some speakers so we could barely hear each other talk and that the menu was kind of pricey but the portions made up for it!
There are three Big Easy locations in London, Covent Garden, Kings Road and Canary Wharf!
