5 Places To Go To This Winter
Welcome to Day 3 of Milk's 12 Days To Christmas! For those of you who don’t mind being out in this cold in these winter months, Christmas is the perfect time to explore London for new things to see and do. It also helps that the streets are decorated with amazing lights and ornaments so exploring London at this time is a blogger's dream aesthetically! If you're looking for some Christmassy things to do or for new places to get presents for your loved ones, here are 5 places for you to go this winter:
Winter Wonderland
Is it even Christmas if you don't even at least suggest going Winter Wonderland with your friends? It's free to enter and they're loads of things for you and your friends or family to do (obviously some of them for a price). There are also Christmas markets and various restaurants, bars and food stalls for churros, mulled wine or warming hot chocolate. Winter Wonderland runs from the 18th of November, 10am to 10pm, to 2nd January 2017, except for Christmas Day when it is closed and they're open as normal on Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Ice Skating at Hampton Court
25 November - 8 January
Cosmic Christmas at the Royal Observatory Greenwich
If you have young family members or you just want to try something new this Christmas, why not go to the Christmas Stars Planetarium Show at the Royal Observatory. It's presented live by a Royal Observatory astronomer and will show what the night sky will offer in the lead up to Christmas, with an astronomy-inspired twist on the Twelve Days of Christmas. It runs from the 1st to the 23rd of December: weekends and 22–23 December at 12.30, and 2.45pm and weekdays (term-time) at 2.45pm. You can buy tickets here!
Vauxhall Winter Village
Vauxhall Winter Village is a brand new seasonal attraction and is run from the 10th November
every Monday to Friday, 11.30am to 10pm until mid-January 2017. The Vauxhall Winter Village is designed and presented as a pop-up alpine ski village and features apres ski-style food, drink and entertainment. The event includes Retro Ski Wear with Cable Car Photo Booth, bookable alpine cabin booths and a Winter Sports Bar.
Royal Albert Hall’s Christmas Festival
The Royal Albert Hall is hosting a range of traditional and joyful Christmas concerts from the 13th to the 24th of December! The festivities also continue after Christmas with magical music, dance, opera, light shows and indoor fireworks for the Christmas Spectacular between 27 and 30 December. There will also be a screening of Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial accompanied by a live orchestra on the 28th December.
