Ebay Series: Pore Masks v Pore Strips
There's something so deeply satisfying about peeling off a pore strip and seeing all the nasty blackheads it's ripped out. I didn't really think anything of blackheads until last year when I noticed that the bumps on my nose were very visible whenever the foundation or concealer has rubbed off a bit because of my glasses. I started to buy Biore pore strips (here) and they worked very well, it hurt like a bitch but it worked and the only negative thing I could say about them is that there weren't enough in a pack. The one I usually bought only came with six which works out to £1.50 for each strip so I used this one small con as an excuse to test out some other pore cleansing products:
The price obviously appealed to me a lot, I got 10 sachets for £2.99 which is amazing but the masks did come with some cons. One of the major cons is that this method is kind of messy, there is a lot of product in one sachet, way more than I would actually need at one go, but there's no way to reseal the it once it's open so you might have to waste the rest of the product. Another con is that it is kind of wasteful, you can try to reseal it with clingfilm or share with someone but if you can't then you might end up wasting more than half of the product.
Apart from these cons, I think the product worked very well, it took out my blackheads like its supposed to, and I shared a sachet with my sister so that it wasn't wasted. I also used a foundation brush to apply the mask so it wasn't too messy but to be honest I think I would prefer to just use the biore strips as it is just way less hassle but I wouldn't advise against getting them.
