Britney Spears Make Me - Single Review
Make Me... is a song by the original pop queen herself Britney Spears featuring rapper G-Eazy for her upcoming ninth studio album. It was supposed to be released in May 2016 so that Britney could perform the single at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards but due to production difficulties, the song was reported to be delayed until the summer.
Not only have critics been raving about Britney's supposed new style, she was able to knock Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling off the number one spot! Make Me makes you forget about the mess that was Pretty Girls (ft Iggy Azalea, who we still don't get why Britney wanted to collaborate with her but anyway) and remember why Britney was on top of the pop world for so long. In an interview with V, Britney called her upcoming album "the best thing I've done in a long time. I'm proud of the work, and it's very different; it's not what you would think at all."
This song reminds me of when she collaborated with Pharrell for 'Boys' as she returns to more of a pop/r&b mix rather than just straight pop as it's that mix that her album 'In The Zone' so popular. The only criticism I have is that some parts in the melody seem louder than Britney's voice and G-Eazy wasn't really needed as he doesn't bring anything different to the track or any edge but apart from that I'm loving this single and can't wait for her upcoming album.
