We tried the Kylie Jenner nail polish!
If there is one thing Kylie Jenner is most iconically known for, it would be her plumped lips and her ever-so-wanted Lip Kits. We all know how chaotic it got when Miss Kylizzle released her matte liquid lipsticks as well as her "Literally, Like, So Cute" Lip glosses - and now, she has collaborated with American nail brand, Sinful Colours and has released a collection of nail polishes which are exclusive to Superdrug in the UK.
There are three Kylie Jenner nail collections available at Superdrug: the Trend Matters Collection, which includes a collection of Pure Satin Mattes, and Velvety Demi Mattes. The King Kylie Collection are a range of precious metals and crown jewels. Each of the three collections have 6 of Kylie's favourite shades, all of which are of different finishes: matte, satin and metallic. There is no doubt this nail polish collection are a reflection of her Lip Kits.
Miss Kylizzle definitely surprised my pockets, as each nail polish retailed at £3. I tried the shade Taupe is Chic from the Pure Satin Mattes collection. Described as a beautiful nude hue, this shade in particular stood out to me the most at first glance of the cosmetics shelves. Although neutral, its bold and vibrant shade was a must-have. Being a Kylie Jenner collab, I was actually surprised it was in stock.
The nail polish itself is very pigmented and a recommendation of 2 coats was all that was necessary. The brush applicator had long, soft and smooth bristles - so it was very easy to apply. The first coat dried quickly, with a matte chalk-like finish. The second coat took longer to dry, and the finish was less on the chalky side, and more of a satin-matte finish. Regardless, I was happy with the final look - and my nails did feel ever so chic.
To create one of Kylie's iconic nails, simply file nails into a "coffin" shape, and apply two coats of Taupe is Chic to each nail, and set it to dry.
King Ky's fourth collection with Sinful Colours will be available exclusively to Superdrug from 27th July 2016. The Denim and Bling Collection will consist of matte denims, glitters and shimmers.
