Selena Quintanilla finally to receive a Hollywood Star
The late singer Selena Quintanilla was among those announced on Tuesday as the Hollywood Walk of Fame's class of 2017.
Already a Grammy winner and owner of a clothing line and a boutique-salon, Selena was shot and killed by the founder of her first fan club on March 31, 1995. Still an inspiration, the singer even won the 2016 Latin Billboard Award for "Top Latin Albums Female artist of the Year" and had a nomination for "Latin Pop Solo Album of the Year."
The 2017 Honorees in their respective Walk of Fame categories are:
For motion pictures: Amy Adams, Jason Bateman, Goldie Hawn, Dwayne Johnson, Chris Pratt, Brett Ratner, Ryan Reynolds, George A. Romero, Mark Ruffalo and Rita Wilson
For television: Tyra Banks, Andre Braugher, Ken Corday, Lee Daniels, Hugh Laurie, Eva Longoria, Wolfgang Puck, Keri Russell, Haim Saban, George Segal, Sarah Silverman and Jeffrey Tambor
For recording: Clarence Avant, Jerry Goldsmith (posthumous), Hall & Oates, Ice Cube, John Legend, NSYNC, New Edition and Selena, also posthumous.
