Milk does Paris - Photo Diary
The Milk team had a wonderful mini break in the beautiful city of Paris and we wanted to share our experience of the city with our readers:
Day One - Floods and delays
So our trip started with 4 starving girls running around M&S in St Pancras looking for some snacks for the Eurostar. We then got on the Eurostar only to be delayed halfway through our journey for about 3 hours due to the floods, great start. But then we got to Paris and it was hot, we dropped our bags at the hotel and went walkabout for a only for a few hours as we had to get up early for disneyland the next day. We went down a particularly interesting street before we got to the Moulin Rouge where we obviously had to sing the song about 3 times before we took a picture in front of it. Afterwards we went for a quick bite before heading back to the hotel for about 5 hours sleep before Disneyland the next day!
Day Two - Disneyland
Our day started really early, at about 6AM but we were so excited to finally be going to disneyland! We had a rocky start at a cafe where customer service clearly wasn't high on their list of priorities but as soon as we got on that train everything turned for the better. We got there at about 10:15, just 15 minutes after the park opened but it was already packed with loads of families and kids but we had our priorities right and headed straight to the shop so we could buy our ears! The first ride we headed to was the Tower of Terror, it was literally so amazing we went on it twice. Walking around both parks was so nostalgic, looking at all the different disney films and talking about the songs, the parade even made us a bit teary eyed, especially looking at all the young kids screaming for their favourite characters. The highlight of the day had to be the fireworks, it was the most amazing and beautiful thing ever, literally everyone at the park was silent in awe except to clap and cheer at the breaks. Then came the ending where it was every man for themselves to get to that train station but somehow we managed it and got to finally knock out after being on our feet for about 13 hours.
Day Three - Sightseeing, sightseeing and more sightseeing
Another early start for us on our last day so we could use up the whole day for sightseeing and a cheeky shisha session before we left the next day. We headed to all the obvious choices, Notre Dame, Arc De Triomphe, the Lourve and Champs Elysees. We spent around an hour at Champs Elysees, especially at the best place in the world, Sephora! Seriously, if you love makeup, Sephora is like a blackhole, surprised we even made it out of there. Our last day was a bit of a mixed bag, as although we got to see all the sights and we had fun, it was extremely hot, like there was absolutely no breeze, no clouds and there was no shade anyway, how none of us got heatstroke was nothing short of a miracle. And to top it off, the Eiffel Tower was closed due to the Euro but all in all we had an amazing time and we can't wait for when we get the next oppurtunity to go back!
Hope you enjoyed this photo diary and hopefully its the first of many for the Milk team!
