CBBC Actor Richard Wisker ‘knocks down’ female pedestrian leaving her with broken bones

Child BAFTA 2010 nominee, best known for his role in Tracy Beaker Returns, Richard Wisker appeared in Thames Magistrates court today pleading guilty to hitting a female pedestrian leaving her hospitalized where she suffered two broken legs and hip.

Mr Wisker was driving a white Mercedes along Balaam St, E13 when he hit the female pedestrian in the middle of the road before being rushed to Royal London Hospital for immediate care, the court heard.

The incident, which took place on the 2nd of December last year, heard that the alleged victim was on her way to the job centre by the 214 bus route where she had then crossed the road and came into contact with the defendant’s moving vehicle.

The victim wrote in her statement that Mr Wisker did not attempt to stop the vehicle.

She added, "the car kept on coming, it didn't stop."

The Defence told magistrates that the actor had only received his license at the end of November last year, less than a month of it being issued.

The prosecution also told the court that Mr Wisker made no effort to slow down and was neither intoxicated or under any drug influence.

CCTV evidence shows the victim in direct view and the defendant failing to make any effort to slow down the vehicle, the court heard.

In response, the Defence told the court that Mr Wisker admitted to braking the vehicle and was left ‘in shock’ after the incident took place.

The 21-year-old actor pleaded guilty to charges of irresponsible driving and received five points off of his license.

An additional £685 fine is owed to the court.
