Hostel resident accused of assaulting a woman after calling her a ‘crack head’

A hostel resident from Channins Hounslow Hotel in Feltham was detained and arrested on February the 4th after claims of assaulting his neighbour during an altercation.


Tamdayo Famuywa, 33, of Hounslow Road, Feltham pleaded not guilty in Uxbridge Magistrates Court yesterday after being charged for claims of assaulting his neighbour.


The court heard that the defendant went out to smoke just after midnight, when he saw his neighbour sitting on the stairs. He called her a ‘crack head’ where after an altercation took place.


Police were called at the Channins Hounslow Hotel where Mr Famuywa resisted arrest or be handcuffed or taken to the Police van. He was detained and arrested after midnight on February 6.


Police heard that the 33-year-old hostel resident was, ‘upset at the fact of being arrested for false allegation.’


Mr Famuywa told the court he was ‘tired from work’ and took the ‘last train from Waterloo’ to get home. He saw the victim on the stairs, and made a comment toward her. He told the court this ‘annoyed’ her as ‘she did not want to be known for this.’


The hostel resident was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £85 in prosecution costs and fined £40.


A total of £145 is owed to the court.
