One of the trends to emerge from beauty vloggers on YouTube in 2015 was using the Nivea Men’s Aftershave Balm as a primer. I picked a bottle up from Beauty Base and used it as a primer for a week so I could give a more accurate review of it. It is advised to use a small amount, the same you would with a regular primer and wait for around 1-2 for it to become tacky before applying foundation or your concealer. I was really impressed with it and although it does have some cons, the pros heavily outweigh them:

Pros
Because the main ingredient is Glycerine, it makes it a great base for foundation and helps it last longer
Great for sensitive skin as it contains no alcohol
Good for those who have dry skin as it is a hydrating balm
Not difficult to find, can be found at drugstores and even some supermarkets
Cons
It smells like a typical aftershave, which in itself is not a bad thing, but it can sometimes linger especially if you touch your clothing when it’s on your hands which can be annoying
No form of applicator so you can end up wasting a lot of product
Not great for oily skin, it leaves the skin quite dewy looking which is obviously not great for those who tend to get a bit oily
The aftershave balm is available at almost any drugstore like Superdrug for £3.52, Boots for £5.35 and Beauty Base for £3.99
