The Kimoji App: does it really work?

The undisputed Queen of reality TV and selfie banker, Kim Kardashian is not only making millions off her mobile role playing game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, she now has a new venture, emojis!

Kim Kardashian has launched her own line of emojis which now makes sense, after she announced the birth of her son Saint West using only emojis. The range of emojis includes her infamous "ugly crying face" (as described to the world by her sister Kourtney), her famous derriére and what appears to be the new "Oxford Tan" version of the low top boost 350 Yeezys, an obvious homage to her husband Kanye West.

The emojis are available through her new Kimoji app which is $1.99 or £1.49 and can be used in iMessage, Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger.

Excited about the Kim Kardashian and Emoji collaboration, our team decided to try out Kimoji. Firstly, it is a reasonable price. After using Apple products for the past few years, it is pleasantly strange to say it is nice to see some explicit humour. Especially for our generation (18 to 29), it is something that would pique our interest.

At first it seemed simple to use: switch keyboards, tap and hold to copy, then paste onto messages. The first Kimoji I sent was enlarged, almost as if I had sent an image - rather than an emoji. Unfortunately, this was the first and last Kimoji I sent. The Kim emojis no longer show on my keyboard, instead I am greeted with a black dot.

It is quite disappointing not being able to use the feature how it was described. The app may be experiencing technical difficulties at the moment, but for now the app was over hyped.

Let us know what you think about the app and if it is working for you. Tweet us on our twitter page!
