When you're asked for nudes...

Ladies, there are other ways to make yourself feel confident and look sexy and beautiful, without having to send nudes. The only nudes you should be sending via snapchat are your au naturel shades of lipsticks. And don't ever let somebody tell you that they all look the same, because we make up fanatics know that they are 100% completely different. (It also gives us an excuse to buy more!)

Over the past year, the matte nude lip has been a phenomenon, with celebrities such as the Kardashian sisters, especially Miss Kylie Jenner, who admitted to getting lip fillers and rocking the goregous mauves. These stunning shade only made her lips even more plump and fuller.

The change of season has no doubt encouraged a more prominent and daring shade for the Fall/ Winter. Hues of vampy plums, daring reds and 90's browns are go-to lipstick colours during the November, December months. I don't know exactly what it is about those particular shades that make us lean toward them during the cold months, though it could be influences from Halloween, the feel and atmosphere of the Autumn season and of course, the Christmas festivities.

However, one of the trending beauty inspirations this season is "the natural look." From natural hair to the barely there make up look, these pretty nude shades of lipstick are the perfect combination for the au naturel look. Looking and feeling simple yet utterly stunning has never been made so easy before.

Such iconic nude shades include MAC's Velvet Teddy, Honey Love, Kinda Sexy, Whirl and Taupe. There are many nudes out there, these are just a few of the favourites.

One of the best ways to accentuate your lips whilst keeping it minimal is to dab the product onto your lips, rather than applying it in swiping motions. In contrast to using a heavier hand, the look will result into a more stained and pigmented plumpness to your lips. A simple method of contour will add definition to the shape of your lips. This can be achieved by lightly outlining the cupids bow with a brown lipliner, and also outlining the end of your top and bottom lip. By doing so creates the illusion of a shadow, emphasising the plumpness of the centre of your lip. To finish off the natural earthy chic look, feather and fan a dust of your favourite highlighter to illuminise your cupid's bow.

Remember, nudes can make you look and feel beautiful, even with your clothes on.
